Terms and Conditions of Sale

1. Overview

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all purchases made through Maebel ("we", "us", "our") and apply to the sale of all pre-loved and vintage jewellery items via our website. By purchasing from Maebel, you agree to these Terms in full. Please read them carefully before placing an order.

2. Product Condition

All items listed are pre-loved or vintage and are sold in excellent condition, relative to their age.

Please note that vintage items may show minor signs of wear consistent with their history.

We aim to describe all items accurately and provide high-quality images. However, slight variations in colour may occur due to screen settings.

3. Valuations

Jewellery priced over NZD $500 will come with a professional valuation conducted within New Zealand by a certified valuer and gemologist.

Items under NZD $500 may not include a valuation.

4. Pricing

All prices are listed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST (Goods and Services Tax), where applicable.

Prices are subject to change without notice but will not affect orders already confirmed.

5. Payment

Payment is required in full at the time of purchase.

We accept major credit/debit cards and other secure online payment options as offered at checkout.

6. Shipping

We offer free standard shipping within New Zealand.

All orders are dispatched within 1–3 business days of cleared payment, and tracking details will be provided.

7. Returns & Exchanges

Due to the nature of pre-loved and vintage items, we do not offer returns or exchanges for change of mind.

In the unlikely event that an item arrives damaged or not as described, please contact us within 3 business days of receiving your order. We will work with you to resolve the issue.

8. Authenticity

We take great care to ensure all items are genuine and described truthfully.

Where available, items may include supporting documents or valuations.

9. Care Instructions

Vintage and pre-loved jewellery requires careful handling. We recommend removing jewellery before sleeping, bathing, or exercising and storing pieces in a dry, secure place.

Maebel is not responsible for damage resulting from improper care after delivery.

Sales Policy

All purchases made through the Maebel website are considered final.

If you have any questions regarding a piece, including quotes or availability for resizing, please ensure you contact us prior to completing your purchase. We are more than happy to hold an item for you while your enquiry is being addressed.
